She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Studies and a Master of Science in Family Ecology and Practice, with an emphasis in Family Financial Management. She is an experienced facilitator and has taught courses on a variety of financial topics including: debt management, budgeting, rebuilding credit, and preretirement and retirement planning to corporate and government groups. She is also a Sessional Instructor with the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta teaching in the area of Family Finance and Family Economics.\n
